I will install homebrew again, making sure to backup my nand after and install priiloader. I tried ohneschwanzenegger again to reformat my nand to 4.3 using the guide on hacksden, and it worked! Bootmii still loads, but I can now get into the system menu fine with and without the sd. Is there any hope of restoring my wii? Thank you for any assistance I have also tried using Bootmii-KEYFIX and WiiFlashToolz to no avail. I have tried resetting the nand using ohneschwanzenegger and spawn link's guide and then using restoremii, which just gives black screen for both system menu and homebrew channel. Trying to exit to system menu or shutdown results in black screen. On the menu, the options for selecting SD card or usb are blank and unclickable. Selecting the homebrew channel shows no apps, even though properly loaded on SD card as it worked fine before. Selecting the system menu gives a black screen. Last time I could do anything I had to start/restart the wii for like 30 minutes until apps showed up on the HBC.īootmii loads fine. It went from only being able to access the system menu from the homebrew channel, to the homebrew channel not showing any apps. Since then the wii has been having problems. Everything worked fine, but then my wii froze upon exiting out of Metroid Prime Trilogy on usbloader gx, causing me to have to unplug the wii. I tried redownloading the Homebrew Launcher Channel again, putting it on the SD card and trying to install it. The splash screen comes up and it makes a sound, then a few seconds after the splash screen abruptly disappears. I close the Mii Maker, then I launch Homebrew Launcher Channel on the Wii U Menu. This also comes with a music file to play the Wii's Homebrew Channel music as you launch Haxchi. Basically this makes your Haxchi look more like Homebrew Launcher rather than Haxchi. Now test it out by going into Appstore, your music should be replaced with your own.Ĭhanging Haxchi's icon and sound to Homebrew Launcherįor a long time now someone has made icons for haxchi that looks like Homebrew Launcher, as well as the original wii's Homebrew Channel music. Place the slimers.mp3 file into the resources folder On your SD card, browse to wiiu/apps/appstore/ You can also replace the music in Appstore with your own music. Who wouldn't want to jam out to their favorite song! If you're fine with the default music, then this isn't for you. It's been possible for the longest time to customize Homebrew Launcher with your very own music and sound effects, just nobody seems to realize it! This isn't anything groundbreaking but it's a nice touch if you ever get tired of the default music and want to use your own song.
